Abstract: Abstract In this paper1 I wish to approach the foreign exchange market within the framework of an overall macroeconomic model. The paper deals with the UK specifically, though the approach is intended to be of general applicability. I assume throughout a floating exchange rate regime (not necessarily ‘clean’).
