Abstract:
Abstract A lending banker takes carefully judged risks for an appropriate reward. But he can only judge a risk which he has first identified. It is therefore essential to identify areas of weakness which could put a company at risk or developments to which it is vulnerable; then monitor the company to focus on any particular risk as soon as it begins to become an active threat rather than merely a potential one.
