Regulation

Tim Hazledine

Chapter 20 in Full Employment without Inflation, 1984, pp 169-175 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Government’s attempts to ‘regulate’ the private sector offer some vivid examples of the flaws of the managed economy. Recognition of these by perhaps a majority of economists, and by some politicians, has built up into something of a movement towards deregulation in last few years. This chapter attempts to sort out what the fuss is about, and to develop a governed economy approach to the problem.
