Abstract:
Abstract In ‘The First Year of Socialist Government in France’1 the author described the structural changes that followed the victory of the left in the French Presidential and parliamentary elections. He further examined the macroeconomic imbalances created by an expansionary policy, which involved increases in wages, social benefits and public expenditures.
