R & D, Patenting and New Research Laboratories in a Long Wave Context
Alfred Kleinknecht
Chapter 5 in Innovation Patterns in Crisis and Prosperity, 1987, pp 109-113 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In the preceding two chapters we have discussed longer-term indicators of radical innovations on various definitions. In the following we shall examine whether our findings from Chapters 3 and 4 are consistent with statistics on the foundation of new research labs and with more commonly-used innovation indicators such as data on R & D and patenting.
