YTS: Training or a Placebo?
Patricia Dutton
Chapter 10 in From School to Unemployment?, 1987, pp 217-237 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The main purpose of this chapter is to establish the facts, as far as they are available, on the Youth Training Scheme (YTS) and use them in an attempt to consider its success with regard to a limited number of objectives. In addition, it will attempt to highlight what statistics should be collected and what pitfalls should be avoided when interpreting them.
