Abstract:
Abstract One of the main arguments of this report is that despite the accumulation of tensions in the trading system documented in the preceding section, thinking on trade matters involving developed and developing countries may be undergoing more change than at any time in the post-war years. Ongoing re-evaluation seems to be present on many fronts in the developing world, including the role that trade plays in development, and how developing countries should participate in global trade negotiations. While perhaps less apparent, a re-evaluation of options also seems to be underway in the developed world.
