Dieter Hiss
Chapter 13 in Monetary Theory and Monetary Policy, 1993, pp 350-351 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract As far as I know, an academic symposium in the guest-house of the Land Central Bank in Berlin is a première. Hitherto the Bank’s guest-house has been known more for eating and drinking than for academic debate and reasoning. Thus it is a very special pleasure for me to extend a cordial welcome to all of you to this innovative role we are attempting to play. I would like to thank you all for being present on this memorable occasion. And I am sure you will join me in thanking particularly the initiator of this conference, Professor Stephen Frowen. He shows by his initiative that innovations are not left to the financial community alone.
