Comments on ‘Monetarism in a World without “Money”’ by Thomas Mayer
Joseph Bisignano
A chapter in Monetary Theory and Monetary Policy, 1993, pp 71-78 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Professor Mayer’s paper had the interesting effect on me of recalling to mind my early economics education; something like discovering in your attic a report card from your schooldays. It made me ask myself where I got the views on monetary theory and policy I currently possess, and to ask in addition how strongly I hold those views. It then brought to mind conversations I have had with two well-known economists.
