Chapter 10 in The Global Competitiveness of the Asian Firm, 1994, pp 155-166 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This report is based on field research undertaken by the Japanese Multinational Study group, to which I belong, at Japanese-affiliated automobile assembly and parts plants in North America (1989). Japanese home electronics and semiconductor firms were also studied. I individually undertook research on Japanese automobile and home electronics plants in Taiwan in 1990.
