Abstract: Abstract This chapter consists of four sections. Following this Introduction section II shows the transition process from a socialist to market economy in Poland, which is analysed as having proceeded in the three following areas: macroeconomic stabilisation, institutional changes, microeconomic restructuring of production capacity.
