Chapter 6 in The Construction Company in and out of Recession, 1995, pp 93-107 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Section 6.2 of this chapter considers the advantages and disadvantages of being a public limited company which was the case for the majority of the companies interviewed (6.2.1). It goes on to examine companies’ problems of structure and management which existed earlier but became obvious during the recession. Many of those interviewed related organisational changes to the recommendations in the Cadbury Report1 (6.2.2).
