Introducing a Single European Currency

Malcolm Levitt

Chapter 46 in European Monetary Union: The Kingsdown Enquiry, 1996, pp 326-331 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This paper is intended to outline some of the technical issues that will be involved in the replacement of national currencies by a single European currency. As such, it leaves aside the questions of when and where Stage 3 of EMU might start and focuses on how the single currency might be introduced.
