The Era of Great Liberalisation
Christopher J. S. Gentle
Chapter 2 in After Liberalisation, 1996, pp 19-45 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Liberalisation of markets within Europe is a reflection of the shift in ideology that has swept across the world over the last two decades — the era of great liberalisation. The process of liberalisation has not been confined solely to changes in Europe — least of all the long and distant corridors of the European Commission (EC). Therefore this chapter is set within a global context, rather than the parochial events of Europe.
