The European System of Central Banks
Malcolm Crawford
Chapter 14 in One Money for Europe?, 1996, pp 224-254 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The ESCB (or Eurofed) is modelled mainly on the Bundesbank. It is to commence operations fully at the beginning of stage three although it will be established before then to allow time for it to be organised. Its most important features are its federal structure, its independence from political authority and its statutory objectives.
