Abstract:
Abstract The relationship of competition policy to the GATT has been discussed recently in a number of papers (Hoekman and Mavroidis, 1994; Levinsohn, 1994; Lloyd and Sampson, 1995; and Grey, 1994). All of these set out what a potential competition policy negotiation might involve and examine the relationship between the GATT/WTO and competition policy. In this literature there is little discussion of the possible impacts of a competition policy negotiation on the developing countries.
