Chapter 27 in Regional Science: Perspectives for the Future, 1997, pp 399-410 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract China is about to embark on an unprecedented transformation of its economy and society. Its economy is steadily opening up and establishing links with the rest of the world. This will have the effect of changing the form of the Chinese economy. As a result of its interaction with more market-orientated economies, the Chinese economy will also become more market-orientated.
