Abstract:
Abstract This chapter presents the results of the empirical investigation carried out in two Italian footwear districts: Marche and Brenta. The areas analysed are two of the most important districts specialized in the shoe industry in Italy. Marche is the largest concentration of footwear firms and Brenta is an area with a long tradition in the production of high quality women’s shoes.
