Abstract:
Abstract Confronted with newly opening international markets and intensified competition, firms are readjusting their scope of operations, backed by technological developments that allow for producing and marketing on a global scale. In their quest for efficient global operations, firms increasingly revert to alliances, national or cross-border, involving production, research, distribution and other functional activities.
