Privatization Policies in Venice
Gianfranco Mossetto
Chapter 11 in Economic Perspectives on Cultural Heritage, 1997, pp 185-195 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter was written by a former academic economist who is, at present, acting as pro tempore deputy mayor for culture in Venice. It presents the administration’s operational policies aimed at the privatization of the city’s cultural sector. As an economist, however, the author of this chapter proposes some introductory theoretical definitions referring to the meaning of ‘privatization’ itself.
