Abstract This chapter investigates the causal patterns of foreign investment, growth, external debts, and inflation in some major developing economies in the Asia Pacific in recent times, and the possible implications of these patterns for the formulation and implementation of development and growth policy in the transition countries in Indochina (Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia) and Myanmar.
