Managing Food Aid Resources
D. John Shaw
Chapter 7 in The UN World Food Programme and the Development of Food Aid, 2001, pp 188-204 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract As we saw in Chapters 5 and 6, supporting development projects and emergency operations mainly for the benefit of the neediest people in the poorest countries is a demanding and complex task. That complexity has been compounded by the nature and composition of the resources that WFP has had at its disposal, and the manner in which they have been made available by donors. This chapter describes these resources and what has been done to manage them effectively.
