The Timeless Management approach in the Historic Royal Palaces

Alan Coppin and John Barratt

Chapter 8 in Timeless Management, 2002, pp 181-211 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In 1258 Sa’di, the Persian writer and poet, said, ‘A theorist without practice is like a tree without fruit.’ We agree. In this and the following chapter we set out how the Timeless Management approach outlined in Parts I and II of this book has been applied in practice. We have not the space here to provide a detailed account but we have attempted to identify the important milestones, particularly in relation to people development, and importantly, to pick out some measures of progress.
