Chapter 7 in Japan and China, 2002, pp 140-157 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Over the past two thousand years, Sino-Japanese relationships have not always been stable, and especially in the aftermath of the Second World War the political atmosphere of the Northeast Asian region has been chilly. Relations started to improve only in the past three decades following the resumption of diplomatic relations in 1972. The pace has been slow, however.
