Chapter Chapter 7 in Revival of a City, 2019, pp 143-164 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This chapter focuses on the evolution of population trends and patterns of spatial mobility through commuting and migration. Industrial change and wider economic and social trends have re-worked Coventry’s relationship with the surrounding area and created new spatial interdependencies. Coventry’s story has not been one of precipitous population decline. Instead, it is one of adjusting relationships to economic activities within the city and beyond.
