Abstract:
Abstract Development of rural enterprises has been important for poverty reduction and industrial development as well as economic transformation for many developing countries in the past several decades: Asian and African as well as Latin American countries. Agribusiness and rural enterprises contributed significantly to the upgrading of developed countries such as Britain, the United States, Germany and Japan from agricultural-backbone economies to industrialized economies. China’s dynamic development of agribusiness and rural enterprises has played an important role in its industrial development and helped to mitigate the inequality of rural and urban areas through creation of an enormous number of work opportunities for surplus rural labor at an early stage of economic transformation.
