Chapter Chapter 9 in Westernization Movement and Early Thought of Modernization in China, 2022, pp 159-174 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract To manage an enterprise efficiently, the management needs to combine all elements (technology, capital, land, labor force, and so on) efficiently, market its products and finally maximize its profit. This involves two main aspects: how to motivate workers at the enterprise and how to decrease the number of mistakes workers make. With respect to business efficiency, the Westernization Group stressed the importance of enforcing management. This chapter will discuss how the Westernization Movement establish an appropriate enterprise management system in China.
