Abstract: Abstract After a few centuries of Commercial RevolutionCommercial Revolution during the Mediaeval Warm Period, the Mediterranean experienced a triple shock at the beginning of the fourteenth century: bad harvestsharvests, generalized war and virulent outbreaks of plagueplague. Their combined effect reduced the populationpopulation, agricultural and industrial productionindustrial production, tradetrade, landland rentrent and taxtax income, and increased agricultural yields, wageswages, debt and distribution conflicts.
