Abstract: Abstract There is a large corpus of research on how governments and businesses engaged in the twentieth century, but these are mostly related to geographies beyond Ireland and have a tendency in recent decades to congeal around one meaningful episode, the Global Financial CrisisGlobal Financial Crisis (GFC) of the early twenty-first century.
