Chapter 7 in An Economist’s Guide to Economic History, 2018, pp 55-59 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Economic historians speak the same language as economists. They share a common disciplinary core, and they employ similar research approaches to address related questions. The contribution of this chapter is to highlight how the similarities between economic history and other fields in economics can be used to enrich existing teaching materials and pedagogical concepts. Its author presents teaching ideas that use the material collected in this book.
