Abstract:
Abstract The circular economy is driving sustainable innovation and promoting circular business models as strategic tools to transform traditional linear businesses into circular ones, especially in the agribusiness sector. Despite growing interest, small and medium enterprises are still unfamiliar with the concept and literature about it is limited. This systematic literature review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of circular business models in agribusiness. Authors followed PRISMA guidelines, using Scopus and Web of Science databases. The bibliometrix-R tool was used for publication analysis. The 60 documents selected were analysed at the bibliometric and content level, providing an in-depth look at circular business models in agribusiness, including discussion on different sub-sectors. The findings will serve as a valuable reference for all stakeholders involved in the sector.
