Chapter Chapter 7 in Advanced Technologies in Business, Volume I, 2026, pp 153-179 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This article investigates the fundamental role of training and public policies on artificial intelligence (AI) for companies in bridging the gap between technology adoption and social impact. In the rapid implementation of AI in the workplace, managers often face challenges in effectively integrating these technologies within organizational structures. Through a structured literature review, we develop a conceptual framework that identifies AI’s main challenges, mitigation strategies, and potential opportunities. The findings emphasize the need for comprehensive managerial training, aligning AI adoption with ethical and sustainable practices. Recommendations are provided for policymakers and managers to foster a balanced integration of AI, enhancing both economic productivity and social well-being in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
