Chapter 16 in Payment Systems, 2008, pp 195-204 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract We have examined the fundamentals of the payments business, its instruments, participants, their relationship, the components and trends in various regions and the services offered to retail and wholesale customers. As a conclusion, it is now time to look ahead and attempt to anticipate what further changes can be expected, the future drivers of this business and how each of the various players can run a successful and profitable business.
