Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, I intend to discuss a proposal on the making of a new kind of monetary policy, providing a glimpse into what might go on behind closed doors in Kinshasa. Then, I will describe some of the challenges faced by monetary policy-makers, as well as how the Central Bank of the Congo might evolve to handle these issues.
