Abstract: Abstract Under Italian law, the Istituto per la Vigilanza sulle Assicurazioni (Ivass) is the supervisory Authority over the insurance sector and carries out its supervisory functions by exercising powers of an enabling, prescriptive, investigative, protective and repressive nature.
