Abstract:
Abstract The latest United Nations Report on Global Sustainable Development (GSDR, 2019) considers mail trends and challenges for banking, as well as what is ahead for banking management and governance in the IT-dominated era. In a discussion of whether Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be capable of assuming the banking leadership, we analyse the tasks carried out by managers and identify the capabilities of AI in this respect. The understanding of benefits as well as challenges with the emerging importance of AI could be helpful in shaping banking governance in the nearest future.
