Chapter Chapter 13 in Fintech Regulation and Supervision Challenges within the Banking Industry, 2023, pp 163-174 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Originally, the supervision and regulation of the Indonesian banking industry were performed by Bank Indonesia. However, after the enactment of Law No. 21 of 2011 on the FSA (FSA Law), the authority to supervise and regulate the Indonesian banking industry (other than monetary policy) was transferred to the FSA. Fintech providers are given one year to pilot their innovation over a limited period and receive assessments whether they are permitted to fully operate on a larger scale.
