Chapter 10 in The Changing Role of SMEs in Global Business, 2020, pp 201-223 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The enterprises of the SME sector are the ‘driving force’ of the EU economy. The issue of financing and innovativeness in the SME sector in the Polish economy presented in the paper is an important and significant area of analysis in the context of broadly understood development issues. The chapter indicates the problems in the Polish economy related to both the level of innovativeness of the surveyed entities by their size classes and types of activity, as well as access to external sources of financing for innovative activities. Long-term analyses provided an opportunity to show changes, but also trends in this area. Conclusions from the analysis of the Polish economy are presented in the final part of the chapter.
