Chapter 6 in Business Under Crisis Volume I, 2022, pp 101-123 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract COVID-19 has deeply affected the global economy, and people’s lives are becoming the priority of governments’ agendas. The sales of several industries have plummeted, and some of them have gone through industrial reconversions and supply chain interruption. Meanwhile, consumption patterns have changed radically. In this economic context, the automotive industry runs the risk of shrinking. What is the role of e-mobility in this new scenario? New consumer behaviours change the context in which e-mobility has been developing, raising questions about its worldwide evolution. The aim of this chapter is to depict the changes in e-mobility, by focusing on the elements influencing the diffusion of electric cars and being affected by COVID-19.
