Abstract: Abstract This systematic literature review explores the evolving roles of business accelerators and incubators in fostering startup success through the lens of Resource Dependence Theory. Based on an analysis of 43 selected studies drawn from top-tier academic journals, it examines the interplay between venture-building programs and startup strategies for managing resource dependencies, addressing uncertainties, and navigating power dynamics. The review highlights how startups leverage accelerator and incubator resources to enhance their organizational strategy and adapt to a competitive environment. Practical implications for entrepreneurs and theoretical contributions are discussed, offering valuable insights for practitioners and researchers engaged in new venture development.
