Chapter Chapter 8 in Merchants, Market and Monarchy, 2021, pp 249-263 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter summarizes and presents the main results of this monograph. And after the conclusion part, a little extension is discussed by comparing merchants in early modern China and contemporary Western Europe, which hopefully can add a little more explanation for the popular discussion of great divergence.
