Abstract:
Abstract The contribution will examine the reception of Uztáriz’s Theórica in the Habsburg monarchy. It will discuss how Karl Zinzendorf, a leading enlightened Minister in Maria Teresa’s government and specialist in trade affairs, used Uztáriz’s ideas for his commercial travels to Spain in 1767, and it will show how the cameralist writer Joseph von Sonnenfels included the Théorica in his writings. It attempts to highlight the influence of Uztáriz´ ideas amongst economic writers and government ministers in German states.
