Abstract: Abstract Professor’s Sen contribution (2020) to the special issue “In honoring Janos Kornai” was warmly welcomed by Kornai. The paper also stimulated a friendly debate between the two eminent thinkers on several points among which we may particularly draw the reader’s attention to Janos Kornai’s position on Marx.
