Abstract: Abstract In 1936, Adela and Michał Kalecki had left Poland behind them. Adela Kalecka had made a brief visit to Poland in 1939, when she met Kalecki’s mother for the last time. But this was a fleeting contact. In 1940, the war brought Poland to the Kaleckis.
