Abstract:
Abstract This chapter surveys the opinions of the great Greek philosophers on the subject of scarcity and abundance. A diversity of views existed on the subject, with such views influencing the intellectual discourse of several schools of thought, from medieval Christianity to modernity. The Greek philosophers surveyed include Hesiod, Plato, and Aristotle.
