Chapter Chapter 11 in Insurance 4.0, 2021, pp 329-348 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In the vision of insurance 4.0, the agents and intermediaries are partners of the transformation and essential components of the organizational change. When between 40 and 80 percent of the distribution is with external partners, to work in a team with them is essential in insurance 4.0. It includes the contribution of the partners as a substantial component. New solutions help in direct marketing and selling, but the relevance of agents and partners is still essential in traditional insurance companies. They must be part of the transformation for moving to insurance 4.0. The chapter also considers the importance of ecosystems in insurance 4.0. The chapter presents the best way to organize partnerships in ecosystem in light of insurance 4.0. Under this view, the partner rating, seen as a process that starts with the insurance marketing and ends with the final evaluation of the partners’ contribution, is an essential process, detailed in this chapter.
