Abstract: Abstract This chapter addresses two rising issues in security, namely air security and cybersecurity in the context of maritime transport. It introduces the growth of aviation and aviation security and discusses whether privatization is the right approach for aviation security. Also, it introduces cybersecurity and maritime transport and highlights the importance of developing security awareness.
