A chapter in Transition and Beyond, 2007, pp 1-13 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This volume has been prepared in honor of D. Mario Nuti on occasion of his seventieth birthday. In the light of Mario’s important legacy for economists and policy-makers, we felt it appropriate to mark this event by producing a book in his honor. This introductory chapter is primarily devoted to a review of the most important features of Mario’s life and work (including selected publications). We will conclude by briefly introducing the 14 contributions in the volume and outlining the themes of the book.
