Abstract:
Abstract As a result of substantial efforts by the governments and citizens in the former socialist countries, the shift to a market economy is now entering its second phase. If the first phase of the economic transformation was to constitute the social and economic institutions that are vital for establishing a ‘minimum’ system of market economy, then the present aim should be to enhance these hastily introduced institutions for the further development of capitalism.
