Ornamental Horticulture A Little Giant in the Tropics

Tito J. Rimando

in Regional Textbooks from Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA)

Abstract: There is a dearth of materials on ornamental crops today. Much of the basic information on various ornamentals may be found from technical journals, which cannot be obtained regularly or are not available in most agricultural libraries. This book is a collation of much of the scattered information into a reference for a tropical setting. This book is intended for agricultural students who have taken some basic courses in botany, chemistry, crop protection, and soil science. Hence, some topics were dealt with more as a review. Emphasis was placed on aspects relevant to the production and utilization of ornamental plants.
